Getting these to talk to your home system is pretty straightforward. We use Zigbee and Matter, so they play nice with the hubs you probably already own. Here’s how the magic happens behind the scenes: your hub sends a tiny low-voltage signal to a relay, which then flips the switch for the high-voltage power. Boom. Instant heat. One quick tip: these lamps pull a lot of power when they first kick in. Do yourself a favor and put them on their own dedicated circuit breaker. It’ll save you from a tripped fuse and a very cold morning.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Since we’ve sealed the casing to keep the water out, the heat doesn’t have a lot of places to go inside the chassis. It gets hot. Because of that, you can’t just slap these on any old wall. Make sure whatever surface you’re mounting them to can take the heat. If you’re dealing with something that could scorch or burn, throw up a heat shield first. It’s a small step, but it keeps your walls looking great and your home safe.
