These lamps run at 400V and pack 2500W into a tube that’s just 300mm long. That’s a lot of heat in a small space. It’s why they get hot almost instantly. But that punch also means your control gear and cooling have to be up to the task. And that 300mm length? It’s all about getting heat where you need it, especially in tight spots. Think preform heating or a narrow window in a process. You get focused energy, right where it counts.
What’s Inside: Halogen, Coating, and Connections
Inside, you’ll find a halogen capsule. It keeps the filament stable, which means the lamp lasts longer than your typical IR bulb. The quartz envelope can handle sudden temperature shifts without cracking. And the low-light coating? It cuts down the glare you can see, while still letting all that infrared heat through. For hooking it up, we use R7s end caps. They give you a solid, two-point connection that’s a straight swap for many existing fixtures. No need to rewire a custom harness. You just plug it in and go.
Heat, Right Where You Need It
We built this setup for jobs that demand fast, localized heating. PET blowing preforms, plastic welding, curing adhesives, thermoforming—this is its sweet spot. The low-light design keeps the work area comfortable for the operator. And the concentrated infrared output puts the heat right where you want it, efficiently. Just keep in mind: that high watt density needs serious cooling and electronics that can keep up. Get the spec right, wire it up properly, and you’ll have repeatable heat with way less downtime.
