At 2500W on 400V, this heater draws serious current to pump out intense infrared warmth, all focused into a 300mm tube. The 400V setup is common in industrial and commercial buildings where 230V isn’t available—or where you want to keep the current lower on longer wiring runs. And because the tube is short, the heat stays tight. You aim it, you get warmth right where you want it.
Materials and design choices that actually make sense
The halogen element sits inside a quartz envelope, and that’s no accident. Quartz handles the high filament temperature and doesn’t crack when the power cycles on and off. Meanwhile, the halogen cycle helps keep output steady over the lamp’s life by sending tungsten back to the filament, so the bulb doesn’t blacken too soon. The R7s connector is straightforward too—two contacts, locks in fast, and carries the full load safely. No extra adapters. Just wire it up and go.
Where it shines—and what to keep in mind
In retail, you need heat that shows up instantly and stays consistent. This unit delivers that: infrared warmth, immediately, with no warm-up wait. And the compact size makes it an easy fit in tight enclosures. Now, here’s the reality check: 2500W throws off a lot of heat. So you need to get the mounting distance right, make sure the housing has proper ventilation, and include thermal protection. Otherwise, the internal parts can get cooked.
