What “IP65” Actually Means for You
If you aren’t a spec-sheet geek, here is the plain English version: IP65 means the unit is totally dust-tight and can handle water jets hitting it from any angle. We don’t do this with cheap plastic. We use high-temperature silicone gaskets and sealed cable glands. It basically creates a fortress around the electronics. Here’s the thing: mist is actually the real enemy. The Trade-off: Dealing with the Heat
Now, there’s a catch. When you seal a box tight enough to keep water out, you’re also trapping the heat inside. You can’t just let the air flow naturally anymore. To fix this, we added oversized aluminum heat sinks. They act like a radiator, pulling the heat away from the internal drivers so they don’t cook themselves. **One quick tip:**When you’re installing these, make sure your mounting brackets aren’t hugging the heat sink fins. If you block that airflow, the unit will throttle or trip. Give it some room to breathe.
